Kirwan was innate within Churchtown, Dublin, Republic of Ireland. Her father was an underwriter & her mother was the French and Latin teacher.

She had her large acting break inside 1991 production A Time To Dance. When cinematography Ballykissangel she became engaged to co-star Stephen Tompkinson, but it late split.

She as well sang using Dustin the Turkey on his cover of Fairytale of Future York for his album Faith of My Feathers.
